Short Brief | Manakamana Temple:
The Manakamana Devi, an incarnation of Parvati is a sacred hindu goddess Bhagawati. The situated at a top of hill approx. 1302 meter height to the closed of historic town of Gorkha overlooking the river valley of famous Trisuli and Marsyangdi. The Manakamana name drived from two words "Mana+Kamana" Mana mean "Heart" & Kamana mean "Wish". So hindu pilgrimage believed that Goddess Manakamana fulfilling their wish those who make the worship her temple.

According to the historic legend, the queen of the 17th centuary of Gorkha King Rama Shah. The queen believe that the king has magical power but his magical power only knew his devotee Lakhan Thapa Magar. One day a village farmer ploughing a field & discovered a stone from which blood and milk pouring. As soon as when Lakhan Thapa learned of this was a sign of dead queen. Immidiately Lakhan Thapa started the construction built a temple in her honor that a site where the farmer had been discovered that stone. The present 19th centuary temple is replacement of the built by Lakhan Thapa Magar. In this regards, As a traditionally that the temple priest must be a descent of Magar family.

Manakamana Cable Car:
Cable car is a first passenger transportation car in Nepal that has become extremely popular with the locals and tourists alike. The 10-minute cable-car ride takes the visitor to the temple of Goddess Manakamma who is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes. Cable-car ride starts at Cheres, 104 km from Kathamndu on the highway to Pokhara.

Drive back to Kathmandu by Car/ tourist bus.
